Governance vs Gandhi

We luv Priyanka Vadra Gandhi's ( PVG) dimples but will v vote for her?

Which of the Gandhi siblings speaks about laws , governance or politics? 

Their heart goes out to the country in general and they'r keen to spend tax payers money on welfare schemes. This is pretty much their idea of governance.

India is not poor , Indians are not pathetic and we don't need dole!

A villager doesn't want to dig a non existent dam for 100 days a year when he can til his fields and tend cattle , or weave or fish. 

He wants fruitful skill based employment that requires the state to create infrastructure like water channels , small check dams , sensible marketing of Indian handicrafts and investment in cold storage for farm and fish produce.

What India wants is respect!!

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra Gandhi can't understand that. 

They were brought up to believe that India was their dowry ! 

Robert Vadra certainly believed so. 

Which of the two of them has done one day's work ? 

Rahul has been an MP for long.... very long and yet he did nothing. 

He reluctantly became the Congress VP and spent that evening crying about how with great power comes great responsibility.... really??

Why din't the ever ready Manmohan make him a minister for something ...anything ? 

Did the Congress believe that they could sneak in a non performing MP (RaGa) as the next silent PM? 

What about Rahul , does he believe he can run the country on good will?

Priyanka Gandhi leaves her entourage mingles with the crowd, jumps over a pile of bricks and we'r charmed !! She may be the most stunning looking politician in many years but we forget she is a wealthy ......very wealthy house wife. 

Politics is her hobby and right now she waving her hand and giving us sound bites because no one in her family or party was ready to stand up for her husband . 

Where was Priyanka when the streets of Delhi filled with people demanding justice for Nirbhaya ? 

Where was Priyanka when the 2G happened ? Where was Priyanka when the coal gate files went missing ? Where was Priyanka when Anna hazare sat on fast ? 

If she cares for the country then why din't she voice her opinion?

For some of us who still believe she cares for rural India, she wasn't in Amethi either!

When Rahul fumbled before Arnab , we knew his story was over,  why dint Priyanka stand up and say I will lead the congress !? 

With all these great opportunities to stand up for her nation , she chooses to stand up when Modi accused her husband!

Being a Gandhi she stood up in the name of the country and her martyred father!

The timing is suspect !

Priyanka Gandhi is here just to ensure her bag of gold is safe and her not soo smart husband doesn't serve time. 

Priyanka and Rahul are two faces of the same old coin and we are scared to deride them, not because they beautiful but because they'r ridiculously powerful . 

They have been in power for 60 yrs !!

They run the country on remote control . 

They are the spoilt rich kids of a legacy that buys , blackmails and bullies its way to power. 

They are not leaders but just the face of a large enterprise that needs their sob story for its exploits. They donot understand us , they donot care for us and they sure as hell donot know how to run this country for us .

The wily fox and other political animals

I woke to another day of political drama
The newspaper had front page news about Sahara Shri and all his wrongs
But wat was more interesting was Kalaignar's comment
He extolled Modi!!
There is our clue to the new alliance in the making

Politicians are brash folk
They have to catch the attention of millions of people!
Karunanidhi maybe just the man the BJP are looking for.
In 2009 when Madam had victory soo close it was considered absolute...
Kalaignar won!
In a moment of absolute brilliance he announced free TVs!!
The roaring masses stamped his name with love , almost lust.

Some claim he did it to bring SUN tv to every household.
Of course the TVs were terrible and most were  re-sold in Kerala and Karnataka.
But he stole a certain victory!!

Like many others he usurped a movement that was begun with true conviction!
Gandhi began the freedom movement with great ideals.
He ordered the congress to be dismantled once freedom was achieved
Nehru the strategist, realized this legacy will be enough to win him elections for many decades.
It did!
Arvind kejriwal began as a supporter of Anna Hazare and catapulted the movement into a political party.
The benefits of Anna's honesty and cause, are entirely his!
Soo too Kalaignar used the Dravida movement's greatest thinker Annadurai and the party's
reformist legacy to his benefit, creating a fiefdom of power!

TN is now a strong hold of two parties with a third battling at the fringes.
If the banners and hoarding were an indicator of power, then Madam can only weighed against
the entire Lok Sabha!!
Obama and Francoise Hollande( who definitely has other plans ) are cheering her on!
But are the Tamil people ??
Power , governance, decision making and jus plain bewilderment are all in play..

If DMK exploits the anti incumbency and BJP forgets that its tying up with an atheist
forward class basher, we may have the weirdest winning combination!!
Built on desperation ........ but this elections everyone seems desperate

Arvind the spoilt child

All along we extolled the virtues of the AAP.
AAP is not a student union anymore.
They threw the aging principal out of her office and now they find administration is not such fun!!
Who said it would be fun in the first place?
Arvind Kejriwal?
thats a surprise! .... his is loyal supporters believed him, brandished brooms and sung the chorus!!

Now we have Najeeb Jung as the titular head of a raging city.
Governance will flow as it did with the Congress but even less will be done.
The seat will be warmed for the next big party to stake claim and lets be clear
No one in their right mind will vote AAP back to power.

What went wrong with the AAP?
the answer is staring us right in the face!

The man who dared to start the AAP will be its nemesis.
He is bigger than the party, bigger than its goals and currently too big to see he is wrong!

The people of Delhi voted him in, hoping for change.
By accepting the CM's chair he became the icon of the greatest Indian dream-
'A corruption free country.'
If it required standing for hours and debating the Jan lokpal then he should have.
Storming out was not the answer.
Arvind cannot claim that his Janlokpal is perfect , in a house where he does not have a majority
he must fight for the best version of this bill and get it passed.
Let it be acted upon and then fight for change , fight for betterment.
But fight!!
Not give up ! at the faintest opposition!
Arvind Kejriwal has to become the man the Delhi public voted to power
The petulant child will get attention only this far!
